Frequently Asked Questions

For most people this process is new and may seem unusual, so we have provided some frequently asked questions below. If you have other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us anytime.

Q: Are you a real estate agent?
A: We are not real estate agents. Unlike real estate agents, who list your home and wait for a buyer, which can often take months and cost you a hefty commission fee of up to 6% of the sale price - we purchase your property with cash or offer terms to pay commission/title fees on your behalf if you sell to us. This means we can often make an offer within days and by handling repairs and purchasing the property directly, we eliminate lengthy timelines and additional costs, streamlining the sale process for you.

Q:  How did you get my information? (If advertising was received by mail)
A: We obtain property information from publicly available sources using a trusted platform called PropStream. This service aggregates data from public records to help us identify properties that may fit our buying criteria. Rest assured, we only use information that is already accessible to the public, and we always handle your data with respect and transparency.

Q: Do you list my property on the MLS or purchase it directly?
A: Since we don't function as real estate agents, we never list properties on the MLS. At Peak Real Estate, we buy homes outright if they fit our buying criteria. We offer cash transactions or alternative financing options that allow us to close quickly. Once we acquire a property, we may renovate and sell it or hold it as a rental asset.

Q: Are your offers in line with current market values?
A: Unless purchasing a rental asset, most of the homes that we purchase are typically acquired below market value so we can resell it to another buyer for a profit; however, most sellers find value in our approach since we opt for an all-cash sale or creative financing which eliminates the need for you to deal with repairs, long waiting periods, or agent fees.

Q: What if I’m in a difficult situation?
A: We specialize in providing quick solutions for homeowners in challenging situations. No matter if you are facing foreclosure, probate or just dealing with burdensome repairs and want a means to an end our approach is designed to help you move forward efficiently.
